For those that care all of the applicable levies passed. Due to local and county tax levies my property tax has now gone from ~3200/yr to ~3600/yr. THANKS...go die in a fire.....Enjoy the higher tax rates you just voted on ....don't mind me I'm just going to plot against all the renters that voted for it. Don't look all hurt and surprised when your landlord hikes your rent. The only signs I saw for the levies on my street are known rental units.
(Yes my tax rates are high thanks for noticing *fume* no I didn't choose...the house is inherited)

Local Elections FAIL (or is it?)
ONE Board of Education election.
ONE City Council election.
Some county charter revisions/Housekeeping.
and
FOUR tax levies!
Parks, HHS (mental health), City Schools ($50 million! bond issue AND tax levy) and Port authority.
All wanting more of my money!
Oh and our city already has one of the highest property tax rates in the county(and state I think)!
That and the state no longer discounts local tax levies like these so that's an additional 12%? hit on every new tax that's passed!

So DEAR READER was in town.
Obama was here spreading the wealth...I mean his message of FOREWARD (Hope and Change wasn't working) ....just noticed gas prices jumped $0.30 overnight.
Historical note FOREWARD is the motto of several Socialist organizations and actualy is the name of multiple Socialist newspapers. Also a neat fact FOREWARD, FOREWARD is the anthem of the Hitler Jugend.

Trying to keep this blog out of rant of the week territory but this must be shared.
A while back big government in their typical wisdom dictated that all new gas cans had to have new spill proof caps. I needed to replace a 5gal can that my uncle "lost" so I got a new can with a new lid. Forewarned that the new caps where not that great little did I know the absolute FAIL that they are.
In short I used it for the first time today...I spilled gas all over myself ...to the point that my housemates where complaining. Tried resealing or tightening the cap, every friggin time it leaked. Ended up using one of my old can's lids to get the gas actually into my car instead of on the car and me.
And the extra stab and twist...the new caps nearly doubled the cost of the cans.
Typical government. And they want to run health care? *facepalm*

I keep on saying I don't want this blog to turn into a rant. But the only thing that seems to inspire me to post also drives me to RAGE HATE RAGE!

I was driving home the other day and noticed they are putting red light cameras a few blocks from where I live. My city can't afford garbage pickup and is now billing the residents. BUT they can afford traffic cams. I bet it's for safety and not revenue. Can't be that...
For those that still think that traffic cameras are for safety. They have proven that cameras INCREASE accidents at those intersections.
On a snarky note. I wonder how many times a PD cruiser is going to be caught by those cameras. They just put in a 24hr Dunkin Donuts on that corner!
And further GOVERNMENT FAIL!
My Dad recently passed and I get to try to deal with the estate. I noticed today on his death certificate...box thirteen...... Deceased of hispanic origin? ......WTF BATMAN! this is OHIO,
Where am I and what did you do with my country!
*sigh* Time to invest more in flying lead.
