This actually is another opportunity to emphasize the importance of good prep work. That includes masking adjacent areas to protect from the material. And do have cleaners and wipe rags at the ready.
Yah kind hard to do proper site prep hanging off a 2nd floor balcony... As to cleaners and wipe rags it's spray rubber. I don't know what takes that stuff off and a google search was not much help.
