You see a tshirt:
I support the right to arm bears (bear with a rifle on the shirt)
and you smirk
You REALLY know your a gun nut when you realize that the rifle is a left handed bolt action and the bear is left handed. And that REALLY brings a smile to your face.

And guess what? the program is abused by politicans and their staffers to get themselves and their buddies out of trouble.
No that dosn't happen...politicans abusing the system....making sure the rules don't apply to them...

Way to perpetuate a negative stereotype for profit!
WARNING! Rant mode is ON!
On my ride home tonight I hear a radio add for a computer service. Name of the business is certified nerds. Wait what? This is one of the few if not the only example of the allowable use of a negative stereotype to promote a business. This is the same problem I have with Geek Squad. Maybe I'm too close to the situation being identified with said group, working in I.T. myself.
I don't see any adds for wetback landscaping. Just saying...

I guess it was only a matter of time before JayG got me back for the "does this gun make my but look big" post.
I give you the Back up Tomahawk!
(Does this TOMAHAWK make my butt look big?)
New Stabby report from JayG:
Stuck in Mass.

New Stuff
It might be a good thing that I could not buy a gun at the NRA show...but knives on the other hand....
or a Tomahawk
(Cold Steel Rifleman's hawk)
NRA convention roundup!
JayG wondering if he can actually shoot both without breaking something.
OK who gave JayG the 45-70 revolver?
LaserLyte has been talking to JayG WAY too much!!!
Achievement still locked
Looks like Daddybear didn't so well in the vehicular hunt portion of the blogmeet. He missed a turkey on the way home. :)
15min of sound and fury...meh time to go now that we've gotten our photo op
Please note the Virginia Tech shirt. Way to exploit a tragedy to further your cause. Well after all it's what they do. That and buy guns for homicidal teenagers.
Two of the guns used at VT where straw purchased for the shooters by a board member of the Brady's.
Is he on the wrong side of the street?
They had signs with their own names and ages on them. All I could think of is that an intrepid criminal could get quite the shopping list.
Crowdsourced comments:
Protester with megaphone: "NRA we want to talk"
Me and a few others watching: "But not listen"
A pretty lady from Virginia: "At least we know they are not armed"
During a conversation about the people they are lamenting that got killed.
"I bet there are more felons on THAT side of the street than ours."
